Serum Cholinesterase Levels in Healthy Adults and Blood Doners

Abstract
|
|
|
|
The Serum cholinesterase levels were determined in males and females, in age range from 19 to 23 years olJ, after Takahashi method. Serum cholinesterase level in 14 males was 5.83±0.73 (Mean±SD) μ M/20μ1/hr and in 15 females was 5.23±1.00 μ M/20 μ1/hr. The difference between males and females in serum cholinester as levels was not significant. In the repeated blood doners, serum cholinesterase level (4.76±0.81) was lower than that of males significantly.
